It is quite a distance from downtown San Diego (probably a 45 minute drive) but they do seem to bring in what I call “Schedule B” entertainment.
We visited on a Sunday night and the casino was packed with gamblers not just concert-goers. The seats were very plush and comfortable. The concert area was upstairs and kind of tucked in a corner out of the way.
The grounds are large, well landscaped and lighted and the building is new, clean and everything you would want in a casino. The Indian band has done a great job as far as you can with this type of venue. We visited Sycuan Casino to attend the Craig Wayne Boyd concert.
